About this Speaker

Jeanie Alter is the Executive Director of the American School Health Association (ASHA), a professional member organization dedicated to transforming all schools into places where every student learns and thrives. Before joining ASHA, Jeanie served as the Project Manager and Lead Evaluator for Prevention Insights at Indiana University. In this capacity, she provided complete evaluation services and technical assistance for grassroots substance abuse prevention programs. She has written and overseen numerous federal grants and contracts, published peer-reviewed articles, and presented at national conferences. Jeanie is also an adjunct faculty member for the Indiana University School of Public Health and O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
